The Arndt Small Animal Center in Karlsruhe-Durlach has received the international certificate as a cat-friendly practice. „"cat friendly clinic"“ It received the silver award. This makes it one of the few clinics and practices in Germany to have achieved this.

„We are very proud of the certificate awarded by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), which recognizes our ongoing efforts in continuing education and maintaining high standards, especially in feline medicine,“ said veterinarian Susanne Arndt, owner of the practice. The ISFM has been working for years to promote high standards in feline medicine worldwide.

What does that mean for your cat?

Cats have a finely nuanced body language; to understand this, all employees are specially trained in handling cats and receive ongoing training.

As a recognized cat practice, the Arndt Small Animal Center minimizes stress for the feline patients from the very beginning – for example, through a separate waiting area for dogs and cats, but also separate stations specifically for cats with places to retreat to and toys for longer stays.

In addition, the cats have elevated platforms, and the treatment rooms are sprayed with a special calming spray. This makes the upcoming treatment very easy – the cats are relaxed, and blood draws, X-rays, and ultrasound examinations go very smoothly.
