After everyone had been quickly tested, we were able to continue our in-house training series on the topic of pain therapy / pain clinic yesterday evening. The speaker was our senior physician Manuela Bencec, who has worked intensively on this area at the University of Giessen, among others.

In addition to veterinarians, veterinary assistants also took part:

With effect from March 1st, 2021, the doc4pets group is taking over the small animal practice of Dr. Anke Essig. Ms. Essig set up this practice with three assistant veterinarians as a mixed practice - small animal and horse practice over 20 years ago with a lot of passion and commitment. Dr. Anke Essig on the takeover: “Unfortunately there was no company successor internally, so we approached doc4pets. Due diligence was carried out and an agreement was reached within a very short period of time. So my practice didn’t have to close its doors in January and my life’s work will continue.”

Veterinarian Susanne Arndt, managing partner of doc4pets GmbH: “When we were approached and then saw the practice for the first time, it was love at first sight. We are very pleased that with flexibility on both sides we can ensure a quick and good practice succession.”

Ms. Veterinarian Anna Daum, with two assistant veterinarians and the corresponding team of veterinary specialists, will provide patient owners from Malsch, Gaggenau, Ettlingen, Rastatt and Baden-Baden with the high quality that Dr.Essig is accustomed to, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m to offer and further expand veterinary services. We are looking for a motivated equine practitioner in the field of horses, either employed or as an independent partner. Further information about the new doc4pets family member can be found at: https://tierarzt-malsch.de

About doc4pets:

doc4pets GmbH is an owner-managed group of now five small animal practices in southwest Germany. With its innovative and disruptive approach to veterinary succession, it offers the veterinary doctor willing to leave a practice succession with qualified senior doctors from the doc4pets family. This in turn has the opportunity to participate in the acquired practice and later take over the majority. The focus is on the idea of highly qualified freelancers, who are supported by the group in purchasing, marketing, accounting, etc. This means he can concentrate entirely on his little patients.

Due to its constant growth, doc4pets is always looking for veterinarians for small animal medicine/equine medicine. The job offers are aimed at initial assistants who will be supported on their future career path as part of a mentoring program. But senior doctors for small animals are also offered exciting job offers and clear career prospects. As a managing director of one of the branches, it is possible to do more than just a job, but also to take responsibility for personnel and business success. Alternatively, qualified senior physicians also have the opportunity to specialize further as a manager in a larger small animal center and to establish and expand their own business areas. Ms. Dr.med.vet. Inga Wölfel from the LMU Munich gave our assistant veterinarians a comprehensive basic course in the area of ultrasound diagnostics this morning. This afternoon it will be the senior doctors' turn to deal with more in-depth cases.

Assistant ultrasound course

We are pleased to be able to continue our series as part of the doc4pets academy so competently, after the last time Dr.med.vet. Michael Koch had already provided excellent training for our colleagues in the surgical field. The next course will take place again with Dr. Koch takes place in November.

doc4pets academy – what’s that supposed to mean?

We see the big advantage in these in-house training courses as part of the doc4pets academy with external experts, that teaching and practicing can be done in a familiar environment with colleagues in small and manageable groups with existing equipment, making the transfer into daily practice easier .

doc4pets has decided to now hold essential training courses with excellent lecturers in our own practices. This is primarily for the following reasons:

  • logistically easier to handle for all employees (no overnight stays or long journeys)
  • learn in a familiar environment with existing material
  • smaller learning groups that also work together later
  • Great topic loss - focused on the wishes of our veterinarians

Today it started with Dr. Michael Koch with our surgeons in the area of osteosynthesis (bone surgery):

Dr. Michael Koch with his protégés

Dr. Michael Koch is a recognized and well-known surgeon who has attended many renowned training events.

We at doc4pets want to further expand this very practice-oriented training series with experts from other specialist areas.

In addition, our veterinarians have the opportunity to attend ongoing webinars/online courses with ATF hours Vetinare

Improve International is another training partner where senior physicians and potential managers have the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized qualification as a general practitioner, for example.

In the long term, this in conjunction with our in-house mentoring is intended to ensure, in addition to learning on the job, the professional development of each member of our veterinary team in their area of interest, which ultimately also benefits our little patients.

Relevantly experienced speakers who would like to visit us in Karlsruhe are welcome to contact Mr. Sven Jan Arndt .

This was followed by studying veterinary medicine at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. Ms. Helmlinger did an internship at Loro Parque on Tenerife, among other places, and is an asset to our practice in the area of birds.

VAT reduction
We will be cheaper from July 1st, 2020
We will be cheaper from July 1st, 2020 1024 724 Sven Jan Arndt

Dear animal lovers,
I don't know if you've ever noticed - you pay sales tax at the vet. In contrast to human physicians, we veterinarians are subject to sales tax . What does this mean for you? In principle nothing, except that as a consumer you cannot deduct the input tax and therefore our prices are subject to VAT. That's usually 19% on our services and 7% on food & medication etc.

Now the good news:
The federal government decided to reduce sales tax on July 1st, 2020. We will of course pass this on to you 1:1. This means that from today on our services are 3% cheaper and medicines & food etc. are 2% cheaper.

We are becoming cheaper
