Dear animal lovers,
I don't know if you've ever noticed – you pay sales tax at the vet. Unlike doctors of humans, we veterinarians are... subject to VAT. What does this mean for you? Basically nothing, except that as a consumer you cannot claim input tax credits, and therefore our prices include VAT. This is typically 191,030 for our services and 71,030 for pet food, medication, etc.

Now for the good news:
The German Federal Government decided to reduce the value added tax (VAT) as of July 1st, 2020. We will of course pass this information on to you verbatim. This means that from today onwards, our services are 3% cheaper and medications & food etc. are 2% cheaper.
